2026-2027 WINTER RECREATION AND JSJWL COMPETITION SEASON

2026-2027 Advanced Elementary & Middle School (JSJWL Teams)
November 10, 2026 – February 19, 2027
For advanced elementary-aged wrestlers, all middle school-aged wrestlers, and members of our Jersey Shore Junior Wrestling League (JSJWL) travel teams. Middle school wrestlers are welcome regardless of whether they choose to compete on a travel team. FWC will field two JSJWL teams: Freehold Blue in the A-Division and Freehold White in the C-Division.
Practice Schedule
Tuesday and Thursday, 7:15–8:45 PM: All wrestlers in this practice group.
Friday, 7:15–8:45 PM: JSJWL travel team wrestlers only.
2026-2027 Elementary Beginner & Intermediate (DEVO)
November 10, 2026 – February 18, 2027
Our core fundamentals program for elementary-aged wrestlers who are learning the sport and gaining experience. Wrestlers practice in smaller groups based on age and skill to ensure that instruction moves at the right pace for everyone.
Kindergarten and First Grade wrestlers—our Little Warriors—are included in this group. There will not be a stand-alone Little Warriors program this winter.
Competition against other local recreational programs is optional, with matchups tailored by age, weight, and experience. We strongly recommend that Kindergarten and First Grade wrestlers wait until at least their second year in the program before competing.

2026-2027 Elementary & Middle School GIRLS ONLY
November 10, 2026 – February 19, 2027
FWC is launching its first girls-only class, with a substantially discounted registration to encourage more girls to get involved. Both beginners and experienced wrestlers are welcome.
Registration includes the Friday girls-only class and participation in our regular practices with the appropriate age and skill group.
We are also working with fellow JSJWL programs to arrange local girls-only practices and competitions, including participating in the Jersey Girls Wrestling League again this season.

Practice Schedule
Friday, 6:00–7:00 PM: Girls-only class, beginning November 13.
Tuesday and Thursday: Elementary Beginner & Intermediate practices from 6:00–7:00 PM, or Advanced Elementary & Middle School practices from 7:15–8:45 PM, according to age and skill.
Friday, 7:15–8:45 PM: JSJWL travel team practice for girls competing on one of our travel teams.
